Instant Pot Eggs
Preparing hard boiled eggs in the Instant Pot is an easy way to do meal prep and is a good protein source for those on a Keto diet. This foolproof method takes some of the guesswork out of the whole process. Once you use your Instant Pot for hard boiled eggs, you will not want to do it the old fashioned way again!
First order of business, go get your Instant Pot. You will need the wire rack that it comes with for this, so grab that too. While you are grabbing things, you will want to grab some eggs, they will come in handy for this recipe.
Now that you have your supplies, fill the bottom of the Instant Pot with just enough water to come to right below the rack- like a cup or two of water.
Place the eggs, carefully on the rack. You can add up to a dozen eggs without adjusting the time. ( I cook 6 in my video.)
Put your lid on your Instant Pot, make sure you are set to sealing- the vent is closed. Turn it on and set it to manual at 6 minutes. Allow the eggs to cook and then allow the Instant Pot to naturally release. (That means you WAIT until the little valve goes down by itself and all the pressure has been released from the Instant Pot.)
Now that all the pressure is out, you can open the lid. Grab a mixing bowl and fill it about half way with ice. Add water to the ice to fill the bowl about 70 percent full. Very carefully take a spoon and take the eggs out of the Instant Pot and add them to the ice water. Once all of the eggs are in the ice water, allow the eggs to cool until all of your ice is melted.
Once the ice is melted, you can put the eggs in the fridge and eat them when you are ready.
That’s it, that simple, really!!
