This hot salad is a little something different (and yummy) to serve your guests at your next get together. 


  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. grated lemon peel
  • 2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. finely minced onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups cooked crab or shrimp meat (or a combination of both)
  • 2 cups chopped celery
  • 1 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 cup plain potato chips, crushed
  • Lemons, for garnish


  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Blend mayonnaise with lemon peel, juice, onion and salt. Gently mix in the meat, celery and almonds.
  • Spoon into individual ramekins and place on a baking sheet. Top with cheese and potato chips.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until bubbly hot.
  • Serve with lemon wedges.
